You Are Never Alone

You Are Never Alone Book

You Are Never Alone is a heart-wrenching true story about a man who served his Country in the Vietnam war and returned home to Kalispell, Montana, to deal with the aftermath of those experiences. Stan Bain writes with sensitivity and humor while describing his experiences during basic training, his first encounters with the enemy in Vietnam, his loss of life on the battlefield, and his devotion to My Tho orphanage children. After the war, Stan struggled with undiagnosed PTSD that impacted his relationships and marriages and was responsible for his reluctance to father children. When he entered counseling and began to reflect on the war and face his demons, he embarked on the journey from which this book emerged.

You Are Never Alone is his first book. Stan’s second book story of his life as Santa Clause. He had described that experience as the “Best damn job I ever had.” With that experience, he refers to them as his kids. You will understand more once you read this book, the chapter about an orphanage in My Tho, Vietnam.   Stan returned to Vietnam in November 2019 to face his demons head-on. His return trip was filled with many surprises. That book Return to Vietnam, The memories. Subtitle: Facing My Demons and Coming to Terms With Them.
